Apple is fixing a bunch of big iOS 16 bugs today. A new update that is now available, iOS 16.0.2, is intended to fix the issue where the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro camera vibrated when using third-party apps, as well as overriding notifications “Allow pasting,” according to an Apple support page. The patch fixes other miscellaneous bugs, which you can read about in the update text shown to iPhone users below:

This update provides bug fixes and important security updates for your iPhone, including:

Camera may shake and cause blurry photos when shooting with certain third-party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Display may appear completely black when setting up the device

Copying and pasting between apps may cause a permission prompt to appear more often than intended

VoiceOver may be unavailable after restart

Fixes an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone X, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 screens after being repaired

According to Is The Apple Store Down, the update affects everything from the iPhone 8 and X to the latest iPhone 14 lineup.

Over the past few days, Apple has promised that major fixes for this update are on the way, even though they didn’t necessarily appear in beta versions of the operating system. While it’s not necessarily an unprecedented decision, it’s not really what we expect from the company.
